  1. I had a doll house like this. It was metal and rusted. I wanted a grand one made of wood.

  2. I had a metal dollhouse too. Mine was brand new and my mom stepped on the patio umbrella from it and it went through her foot. She was not happy. I wanted a wooden one too. :^(

  3. Whenever I see such images I always think of Henrik Ibson.... ;)
But I was looking at Aline Smithson's site, finding it interesting how she juxtaposes a lot of imagery in her shoots, thinking of this too when I wrote my simple piece.

  9. Just a 'heads up', Tess. Spam has infiltrated Magpie Tales this weekend, adding its bit of annoying stupidity to your blog and writing prompt in the form of porn, popping up via numbers 16 - 22. What a sadly pathetic attention seeker this is to infiltrate this otherwise fun and creative blog of yours. And sorry to be the bearer of such news, as some individuals can be so creative and enlightening just as others can be so predictably pubescent and disappointing.

  14. Hope there is no more spam.. maybe the people of blenza can help you manage those... They are usually helpful. I loved the dollhouse, but the feathers around added a dimension of nest that I found interesting.

  15. I've written on the humorous side as this photo is precious to my heart. Mine house wasn't quite like this, but darn close, and I was lucky enough to just find one, exactly like mine at an antique store. Yep, I bought it!

  19. I feel deprived, Tess. I can't reach your new blog because, since I do not use my real name, I can't be with Facebook or Twitter. Hope you'll keep Magpie as is. Best, from Berowne.

  21. I left several messages yesterday under my wordpress acct and they did not show. So today I am trying to use my google acct, which is Rose Red instead of Pleasant Street (confusing, sorry I tried)
and it comes up like I have to be moderated. So I'm not really sure what messages got left and which didn't. But I enjoyed reading everyone's offerings, and participating.
    -Pleasant. Street (my pen name)
